Hoy, el Servicio Forestal de los EE. UU. public\u00f3 para revisi\u00f3n p\u00fablica y reforzada por pares su anticipado s\u00edntesis de la ciencia<\/a>, que informar\u00e1 la necesidad de revisar el renombrado Plan Forestal del Noroeste. "Los bosques, lagos y r\u00edos saludables son la columna vertebral de las excepcionales oportunidades de recreaci\u00f3n del noroeste del Pac\u00edfico y las econom\u00edas locales respaldadas por la industria de la recreaci\u00f3n", dijo Katherine Hollis, directora de conservaci\u00f3n y defensa de The Mountaineers, "Solo en el estado de Washington, la recreaci\u00f3n al aire libre emplea a 199.000 personas y aporta m\u00e1s de $2 mil millones en impuestos locales y estatales.
