La cuenca de 751 millas se encuentra completamente dentro del Bosque Nacional Klamath.<\/p>\n<p>Casi la mitad de la cuenca es un \u00e1rea silvestre protegida por el gobierno federal, que incluye partes de Trinity Alps Wilderness en el sur, Russian Wilderness en el este y Marble Mountain Wilderness en el norte. WELC cre\u00eda que este caso estaba maduro para un acuerdo sin litigio y, a mediados de 2014, el Servicio Forestal acord\u00f3 renunciar a la tala m\u00e1s controvertida a cambio de renunciar al litigio.
