WATR Alliance present\u00f3 una solicitud para un nuevo reglamento incluso antes de que el reglamento actual (\u201cReglamento de aguas residuales de petr\u00f3leo y gas NMED\u201d) entrara en vigor. Estos puntos de discusi\u00f3n son espec\u00edficos para la reuni\u00f3n del WQCC del 13\/11, donde se considerar\u00e1 nuestra moci\u00f3n para descalificar los votos de la comisi\u00f3n con base en presiones pol\u00edticas indebidas.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">La Comisi\u00f3n de Control de Calidad del Agua (WQCC) dedic\u00f3 18 meses a deliberar sobre si las aguas residuales de la industria del petr\u00f3leo y el gas \u2014com\u00fanmente conocidas como \u201caguas producidas\u201d\u2014 pueden descargarse de forma segura a las aguas superficiales y subterr\u00e1neas. La WQCC examin\u00f3 miles de p\u00e1ginas de evidencia aportada por expertos cient\u00edficos y de ingenier\u00eda, junto con el Departamento de Medio Ambiente de Nuevo M\u00e9xico (NMED) y organizaciones sin fines de lucro, que demostraban la inexistencia de la tecnolog\u00eda necesaria para tratar las aguas residuales de la industria del petr\u00f3leo y el gas a escala suficiente para alcanzar niveles seguros para la salud humana y el medio ambiente. La WQCC lleg\u00f3 a esta conclusi\u00f3n y aprob\u00f3 en mayo de este a\u00f1o una normativa que proh\u00edbe la descarga de aguas producidas, tratadas o no, a las aguas superficiales y subterr\u00e1neas de Nuevo M\u00e9xico.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">La ley establece que la WQCC debe ser un organismo regulador independiente que examine pruebas y proteja la salud humana y el medio ambiente. Estos procedimientos est\u00e1n ahora viciados por las \u00f3rdenes de la oficina del gobernador a los directores de las agencias, quienes sirven a su antojo. Se supone que los comisionados pueden examinar pruebas y tomar decisiones independientes. Todos los funcionarios designados por el poder ejecutivo deben inhibirse en este asunto, y la votaci\u00f3n para considerar la nueva norma, redactada por la industria, debe ser invalidada. Esta petici\u00f3n de la industria no debe prosperar.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">La Alianza para el Acceso al Agua, Tratamiento y Reutilizaci\u00f3n (Alianza WATR), con una junta directiva compuesta por representantes de Chevron, ConocoPhillips, OXY y otros expertos de la industria del petr\u00f3leo y el gas, solicit\u00f3 en junio una nueva normativa que anular\u00eda la prohibici\u00f3n de vertido de aguas residuales de la industria del petr\u00f3leo y el gas, incluso antes de que entrara en vigor.
