Since 1993, the Western Environmental Law Center has worked across the West, using the full power of the law to:

• Reduce air and water pollution;
• Secure permanent protections for our public lands throughout the West;
• Defend and enforce environmental laws;
• Protect citizens’ rights to participate in decisions affecting their communities;
• Prevent toxic contamination of western communities and their natural resources;

With a combined 75 years of experience, our attorneys work to protect every western community's right to clean air, water, and land. When polluters violate the law the Western Environmental Law Center’s attorney’s stop them in court. When government agencies fail to enforce our country’s environmental laws, we work with conservation groups and citizens to hold them accountable.
